Homebound Program

The Homebound Program is open to anyone in the Payson area who cannot get to the Library (even temporarily) – homebound individuals, those with no transportation and those who cannot get out during regular business hours.

Clients are required to have a Payson Public Library card. We can assist in the application process, if necessary.

Each client is interviewed for preferences or special needs (favorite authors or genres, Large Print books, audio books, etc.) and is then assigned a regular volunteer who will check out books on the client’s card, deliver them and return them to the Library. We keep records of what each client reads so there will be no duplicates.

The service is free and the client can cancel at any time.

For more information about this free service, call the Payson Public Library at 928-474-9260.

We have a downloadable PDF file of the Shut-In application. Approximately 200kb in size.
